Job description

The open position is within the Construction Management Group at Aalborg University. The group wants to strengthen the teaching and research profile. The associate professor will be involved in teaching and student supervision in connection with both our MSc and BSc programs, where parts of the teaching is conducted in Danish. Knowledge of the Problem Based Learning as used at Aalborg University will be an advantage but not a demand.

The construction industry seems to be lacking behind other industries in development of productivity and quality. We still see many examples of construction projects not finishing on time, not following the budget and with many errors and defects. We expect that our new associate professor will address these challenges in research and teaching focusing on how to improve production performance and cost performance of construction projects for example by use of methods from lean construction, last planner and mass-customization.

You may obtain further professional information from Associate Professor, Lene Faber Ussing, +45 9940 7322, email: lfu@civil.aau.dk.
