Job description

The professorship is affiliated with Center for Organization, Management and Administration at Department of Political Science (COMA-IS). Teaching obligations fall within the bachelor and master programs in Politics, Administration and Social Sciences  and Master programs in Public Administration (MPA) and Public Governance (MPG).


It is presupposed that applicants can document a high degree of original scientific production at an international level, and can document having contributed considerably to the development of the subject area of the job description. Emphasis will be placed on the applicant’s ability to perform research management and other management functions, provide pedagogical guidance as well as supervision and take part in academic assessments. Furthermore emphasis will be placed on a comprehensive teaching experience.
 Candidates for the professorship shall demonstrate a high degree of original scientific production at international level within public administration in the Danish and the international context. The successful candidate is expected to engage in research management functions, educational guidance and supervision and academic assessments. Experience with the direction of University education programs (e.g. bachelor, master and/or PhD level) and with supervision of PhD students is an advantage. Participation in international research networks and experience with fundraising is also expected. At Aalborg University,  our learning approach is problem-based learning(PBL), and documented experience and interest in this approach will be considered an advantage.

Appointment is in accordance with the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Universities (the Appointment Order) and the Ministry of Higher Education and Science's Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities. Salary is in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) on Academics in the State.
