Job description
The postdoc positions are funded through the Horizon Europe project CORNERSTONE coordinated by Aalborg University. The postdoc will design, and test membrane processes aimed at valorizing various industrial waste streams, encompassing water recycling, mineral reclamation, and energy recovery. The postdoc is expected to have experience in process design, scale-up, process modeling or optimization.

Qualification requirements:
Appointment as Postdoc presupposes scientific qualifications at PhD–level or similar scientific qualifications. The research potential of each applicant will be emphasized in the overall assessment. Appointment as a Postdoc cannot exceed a period of four years in total at Aalborg University.

Competences of the ideal applicant:
- Hold a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering or in a relevant field.
- Experience with membrane technology in particular process design, scale-up, process modeling or optimization is a requisite.
- Experience with project management/participation in particular H2020, Horizon Europe projects or similar is positively evaluated.
- Ability to work interdisciplinary.
- An integrative and cooperative personality with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English– written and oral.

Wages and employment
Employment is in accordance with the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Universities(the Appointment Order) and the Ministry of Finance's current Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities. Employment and salary are in accordance with the collective agreement for state-employed academics.
