Job description

The PhD project targets the creation of ecosystems that facilitate the development and evolution of sustainable business models. It is important that the PhD project aims at determining how ecosystem coordination facilitates co-creation and innovation contributing to economic, social, and environmental value within a business community that the individual firm or organisation cannot create by itself. The PhD-project will take place as an engaged scholarship in collaboration with Centre for Logistics & Cooperation (CLS www.logsam.dk) as part of a joint effort between CLS and AAUBS to promote the development and evolution of an eco-industrial park in the Eastern part of Aalborg (DK) and the industrial vicinity of Port of Aalborg.

  • Applying the framework to co-innovation and co-creation within the above mentioned designated area.
  • Disseminating the insights and results to firms and organisations within the designated area.
  • Creating a general understanding of the interplay between competitive strategy, interorganizational collaboration, and co-innovation management within the context of eco-industrial parks that has the potential to be applied in other contexts than the designated area.

The PhD student will have a place of work at AAUBS and at CLS, and is expected to spend an average of three days per week at the place of work. Whether the location is at AAUBS or CLS depends on the activities that are carried out as part of the engaged scholarship.
